Oopsy! What do you do when your Hobby Horse Bridle does not fit properly? A “wardrobe malfunction” can be embarrassing, can’t it? Help is available!

If you don’t like hand sewing this method of elastic ‘bit’ construction minimises the need for a needle and thread. Machine Zigzag stitch is used instead of Whip Stitch as described in the “Wish for a Pony” Sewing Pattern PDF.
Below is a portion of the PDF page showing the Whip Stitch
The “Wish for a Pony” Sewing Pattern PDF shows the folded Elastic being sewn entirely by hand. However, there is another Method that combines Machine Zigzag and a small amount of hand sewing.
My upcoming Sewing Pattern PDF seems to be a life time in the making! If only creating a PDF was quick!
I have a 3rd entry for the Sew Muma Sew 6 Weeks of Softies Competition and again I am more interested in the potential publicity that can be provided by participating than in trying to win a prize. You see even though I have been making Soft Toys off & on since I was 12 years old I have only had an online presence for just over a year. In fact the 28th of March this year will mark one year since I released my “Wish for a Pony” Hobby Horse Sewing Pattern PDF.
I was ‘Horse Mad’ as a child and sometimes kids just don’t grow up! My Youth Hobbies pages document this fact!
Bay is my favourite horse colour followed by Buckskin or Palomino and sometimes dappled Grey. But then again Chestnut is nice too….and don’t get me started on Paint horses!! Plus all the marking variations if only I could make a realistic horse of every imaginable colour and choose from a Blaze or Star or Snip!
On the 24th of February a Postage Box containing several Yards of Spoonflower Faux Suede fabric arrived in our mail box! Talk about exciting! I had big plans…
Fishy Fishy Fishy…. Details Details Details I love Details!
Who remembers my Finger Pocket Fish PDFs? Here is a reminder…
Last November (2014) I participated in an Aspiring Designer Challenge via several Facebook Sewing Groups
Finger Pocket Fish 1 “This Little Fishy” Sewing Pattern PDF
Finger Pocket Fish 2 “That Little Fishy” Sewing Pattern PDF
Finger Pocket Fish 3 “Another Little Fishy” Sewing Pattern PDF
Finger Pocket Fish “Net All Three” Sewing Pattern PDF (this one is available through DIY Crush too)
One Little Fishy reminded me so much of a Goldfish I simply had to try to design some fabric and have it printed through Spoonflower.com
